f/8, 1/90s, iso400

A hot Sunday afternoon in Costco is a great place to practice “zone focusing” and grab a very berry sundae. One need to be quick to take the picture or the “moment” is lost forever.

As I was reviewing the pictures in my computer, I have a number of images that are blurry. Well, it could be several things; shutter was not fast enough, ISO, aperture, the subject was on the move, and I was just anxious.

While shooting a rangefinder is indeed a new experience for me, my short and limited experience has made me rethink and review the basics of proper exposure and composition.

I am positive that everything will sort itself out in due time.

Went for a drive around the block other day with my camera handy. At every stop light/sign, I made the a point to take a quick snap. I am still hesitant to approach strangers and take their pictures, but I know I will get over it somehow.

After graduation, I had several restless nights of not knowing what to do with my free time.  I sensed that I need to exploit this so called energy circulating from with-in me. I tried to restart my passion for photography; looked into shooting film, medium/ large format, and even “collodion process” aka wet plate photography but to no avail.

Until one night I stumbled upon http://www.stevehuffphoto.com and http://shoottokyo.com. And that is when the lunacy happened. I got sucked into the vortex of shooting a rangefinder. I have scoured the interwebs to learn more and familiarize myself with this contraption.

I’m still here!

Sorry folks, I thought I could juggle both school and photography. Boy I was wrong, it got crazy half way into the program. Anyway, the end is finally here. Final project is 90% done and graduation will be this March.

FIN-ANCE (an assault on my senses) : i’ve been a away for a month because my time an energy was spent entriely in this class. who would have thunk managerial finance is easy? the final group project and individual paper slapped me in the face, punched me in the gutt, kicked me in the groin, and took my wallet. wheew!  it wasn’t until last friday, a week after the class ended, i had 6hrs of sleep and it felt so good!

walking zombie: its been a while since i posted something about the program. this what happens when you only got on an average 3-4 hrs of sleep for the past week and a half. balancing school and work is sometimes challenging.

opportunity cost: the cost associated with taking this picture for the blog or finish all the readings and (4) reports that are due next week.

sunk cost: costs that have been already incurred… yeah

celebration: so yeah… enjoying a couple of brew. off to the next class
